How to use any Gul bar

Wet and lather
Wet your face or body and work the bar into a light lather.

Leave it on
Let the lather sit on your skin for 1 to 2 minutes so the ingredients can work.

Rinse, morning and evening
Rinse with water. For the best results, use it every morning and evening.
How we make it
Four weeks from ingredients to a bar you can use. The curing time is the part machines skip, and the reason a handmade bar lasts longer in the shower.
Ingredients
Oils, butters and botanicals weighed out in small batches. Nothing is bought pre-mixed.
Mixing
Mixed and poured by hand into wooden moulds, one batch at a time.
Cutting
Cut into bars after 24 hours, while the soap is firm but still soft enough to cut clean.
Curing
Four weeks on open racks. The bar hardens, gets milder, and lasts far longer in use.

The whitening and rice bars are the gentlest and the usual place to start. Whatever you choose, do a patch test first and stop using it if your skin reacts. If you have a diagnosed skin condition, ask your doctor before changing what you use.
For the best results, use your bar every morning and evening. Leave the lather on your skin for 1 to 2 minutes, then rinse.
Charcoal is made for oily and breakout-prone skin. It lifts excess oil and dirt and helps clear pores. If your skin is oily but also dull, ubtan is a good second bar to alternate with it.
With daily use, usually four to six weeks. Keeping it on a draining dish instead of sitting in water makes a noticeable difference.

Every batch is mixed, poured and cut by hand, so colour and pattern vary a little between batches. The recipe does not change.
